Essam (Omar Sharif) is a young bedouin who discovers the tyranny of the king of his tribe and decides to overthrow him. He uses a clever trick to sneak into the royal court until he gains the king’s trust and becomes his consultant. A gypsy (Lola Sedky) falls in love with him but she discovers that he is in love with another woman (Mariam Fakhr El Din) and exposes him.
