We’re pleased to host The Japan Foundation’s 2026 Japanese Film Festival starting January 31st at Zawya!

In celebration of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Japan Foundation, this year’s edition showcases a larger number of films, with 10 outstanding titles ranging from animation to drama, thriller, and mystery.

The Japan Foundation also is proud to host Ms. TANAKA Eiko, producer at STUDIO4°C that produced the Japanese hit film “Poupelle of Chimney Town” which will screen to mark the opening of the film festival on January 31st at 7pm in Zawya, followed by a talk by. Ms. Eiko.
