Sana lives alone with her nine-year-old son, her husband working outside of Syria. In the cold Levantine winter, Sana goes out in search of a gas cylinder in the outskirts of Damascus, where she encounters two activists in a car. After her driver flees fearfully from a military checkpoint, she finds herself face to face with the terrible effects of war.
