Selim, a handsome and successful writer, finds himself in an elaborate chain of events when he visits police headquarters to report his car stolen. Meddlesome Sergeant Fathy, the detective, arrives to help track down the citizen’s stolen car, persuades him he needs a house cleaner to cater to his bachelor lifestyle and forces upon him the very beautiful, bright and extremely poor Hayaat. Selim’s life becomes inextricably intertwined with that of his beautiful new housemaid, her thieving husband and the well-meaning detective.
