When Ragab, a young fisherman, returns to his hometown after a three year hiatus of raising money for Hemeida'sdowry, he finds himself faced with a number of developments and conflicts. Possessed by jealousy as he suspects an affair between Hemeida and his old friend Mamduh, while he also witnesses a fiery feud between the workers and a corporate transportation company, Ragab's position as observer gradually comes into question as the secrets of his community begin to unravel.
