"The Fourth Jesuit Film Festival (JFF) presents it’s screening program of narrative and documentary films which have been chosen this year through the festival's film competition, produced in 2016/2017 by Egyptian filmmakers.
Part of the JFF4 screenings program will be held for three consecutive days (5-7 Nov, 2017) at Zawya Cinema.
The Jesuit Film Festival (JFF) is an annual travelling festival organized by El-Nahda Association for Cultural and Scientific Renaissance (Jesuit-Cairo) in Egypt. JFF is a non-profit cultural development and a cinematic project held annually in Cairo, Alexandria, Minya, Sohag, and Aswan governorates. JFF aims to contribute towards the development and establishment of local arts and cultural science of film (Feature Films– Documentary) and encourage intercultural dialogue through culture bridges between centralized capitals and Upper Egypt governorates through yearly filmmaking workshops and the JFF films competition screening program in these governorates.
As a film festival oriented project, our main component is the competition phase. The competition has two categories in which emerging and established filmmakers submit short narratives and documentaries competing for three awards."
